The final day of the 2019 GNBA Session 1 saw some action-packed games between some really good teams looking to set themselves up for future events by finishing with a win. The youngsters hit the courts running and made some huge impacts in the games for their teams, really playing at a high level through much of the day. Players at each age level really showed out on Sunday, and you can catch some of the day’s top performers in the recap below.

DAY 3 TOP PERFORMERS
JA’HION BOND – 2025 – G – R.E.A.C.H. LEGENDS

Bond was tough to defend for the opponent because he was able to find spots in the offense to get open and otherwise slash to the hoop for scores. He played with good strength and balance against contact, and also made some free throws, finishing the game with a team-high 15 points in a tough loss to end the session.

DEREK BISHOP – 2025 – G – KESSEL HEAT
Bishop was really good for Kessel in their early morning game, making a ton of plays around the court, both offensively and defensively. He was able to drive and attack the rim at will at times making some nice buckets, but also was able to knock down four three-pointers  and really put the pressure on the opponent with his ability to score, totaling 23 points in the effort.

LEROY BLYDEN – 2025 – PG – R.E.A.C.H. LEGENDS
Blyden used his quickness and attack mentality all game long for REACH as he tormented the defense with his scoring ability. He was draining three’s from range and otherwise attacking the middle and looking to pull up on defenders. He was also tough defensively with quick hands, pulling out a few steals and pushing the ball the other way in transition for buckets. He had 14 points in the tough loss.

EWELL CLINTON – 2025 – G – MAC IRVIN FIRE
The young Fire hooper was a challenge for the opponent as he was constantly attacking the basket and looking to score driving to the hoop. He made some really nice moves and finishes around the basket, but was also able to hit shots when open, including two nice three-pointers down the stretch of the game. Clinton had 16 points to lead the way for his team in the win.

JAXSON DAVIS – 2027 – PG – IL CENTRAL ELITE BLUE
Davis seemed like a GNBA veteran with his play to open up the day Sunday. He was everywhere for his team, really handling the ball well and constantly attacking the defense with his quickness and moves. He created his own shots, he opened up looks for teammates and shared the ball well, and he was knocking down shots all the way to a huge 27-point morning effort to lead his team.

ROHAN DHARMARAJAN – 2025 – PG – YANDERS LAW
Dharmarajan was feisty and constantly attacking the defense on Sunday afternoon, really pushing his team to have a chance coming down the stretch of the game. He drove to the hoop with good control and got himself to the free throw a few times, he knocked down shots on the pull up and hit another from the perimeter for three. He was really good finishing on the break as well and played a smart game for his squad. Dharmarajan ended the contest with a nice 17 point-effort.

COLE HANSEN – 2023 – SG – WI DYNASTY
Hansen had a heck of a game for Dynasty in pacing them scoring-wise in their win Sunday over Phenoms. The young off-guard was able to make plays by attacking the paint and scoring through contact, as well as knocking down some tough and timely shots for his team. Hansen had 19 points for his team to lead the way.

BRYCE HEARD – 2025 – F – MAC IRVIN FIRE
The talented young forward prospect for Mac Irvin was solid down the stretch of the final game. He knocked down from the mid-range area and in, and really made the defense have to account for him on each trip down the floor to close the game. He was solid around the blocks and finished with good touch at the basket. Heard was also really good on the boards, pulling down several rebounds in the game and finished nicely at the free throw line as well.

AGAPE KEYS JR – 2025 – G – TEAM TAKEOVER
Keys was outstanding in leading his team Sunday morning, always looking to put pressure on the opponent with his speed and quickness. He showed good handle and shiftiness with control in getting to the bucket for scores, but also displayed his shooting ability in burying shots, and finished with a solid 13 points.

ARHMAN LEWIS – 2023 – PG – WI DYNASTY
Lewis is a true point guard and floor general, and proved it on Sunday with his outstanding leadership and electric passing. He was consistently attacking the paint or moving by defenders and delivering passes on the money to teammates in various ways. He tallied a number of assists and was otherwise just keeping the defense off-balance and helping his teammates get open. He had a great game in a hard-fought win Sunday afternoon, despite just one made three-point attempt.

AUGUST MAURER – 2023 – F – WI BLIZZARD
Maurer played a really good controlled and steady game for the Blizzard in their victory. All game long he just took his time with the ball and made strong moves to the hoop both with his back to the basket and when playing off the catch to go attack the rim. He was very efficient in his work offensively, and also played tough defensively, constantly working and positioning himself for rebounds.

ANTHONY RISE – 2025 – G – RAY ALLEN SELECT
Rise played a steady game for RAS as they completed a hard-fought game and got the win. Rise was able to score on the attack often and made some really nice shots going to the hoop for his team, but also spotted up and drained a three to keep the defense honest on him. He finished with 13 points to lead his team.

CHARLIE ROBIN – 2025 – G – MAN UP
Robin played a really nice overall game for Man Up on Sunday morning, particularly though in the second half. The young guard had a bucket in the first half and was active throughout, but he got cooking a bit in the second half, rolling off 12 of his 14 points in the period which included a pair of sweet three-pointers, and was otherwise efficient finishing around mid-range area and into the hoop.

CONNOR ROFFERS – 2024 – G – WI SWING
Roffeers played really under control but with great effort all game long for the Swing. He was able to finish at the hoop with a nice move to the basket, but was at his best when he got looks from the three-point line where he drained four treys, leading his team throughout the game with 14 points at the finish.

OWEN SMITH – 2023 – F/C – WI PHENOMS
Smith played really steady in the middle for the Phenoms and was a key contributor to their comeback attempt Sunday afternoon. The big man played with good balance inside and was tough on the rebounds. Offensively, he did a nice job finding space around the blocks and mid-post area and converting his scoring opportunities for points.

NASIR WHITLOCK – 2023 – G – GAIN ELITE
Whitlock played a solid game once again for Gain as they came up just short in a toughly contest matchup Sunday. He was shooting the ball well, and also played under control attacking the hoop and finishing on the drive. Defensively, he was active and played with good handle at the guard spot.

MARTELL WILSON – 2023 – G – WI PHENOMS
Wilson played really well for the Phenoms and was full of energy for his team. He was flying up the court both ways, and finished really well in transition with quick and controlled moves and good touch off the glass. He sank some tough shots as well and really led his team as they pushed for the lead late before falling just short. Wilson tallied 15 points to pace his team.

MAX WRECKE – 2023 – F – RAY ALLEN SELECT
Wrecke played with great energy and good patience, while still pressing the issue for his team. He attacks the hoop with good control and his athleticism came through as he played through contact often and was finishing shots anyways. Wrecke rebounded really well, got deflections and altered shots around the hoop with his activity defensively as well.
