While not even in high school yet, there was plenty of talent on hand at the 14U level of the Spring Extravaganza. Here are some of the top performers from the tournament.
Mesiyah Ashley - 2025 - G/F - Milwaukee Spartans
Even as a middle schooler, Ashley showed unmatched versatility with his size, length, and athleticism. Ashley made is biggest contribution on the defensive end as he is very gifted defender with all his tools that can match up with any player on the floor and lock them down extremely well.
Collin Clark - 2025 - F - Yanders Law
A lengthy wing forward with some size that showed off some very good skills over the weekend. Clark has a smooth jumper that he shoots well from three, even when being highly contested. He also moves well with the ball and has good handle to get to the basket in addition to making some good passes.
Jackel Cotton - 2025 - G - C2K Elite
A long and athletic 6’2” wing guard. Cotton is a highly active player to contribute in a number of ways. With all his physical abilities and hard play, Cotton excels on the defensive end and can defend both guards and forwards well. He did the bulk of his scoring around the basket off of his drives plus some put backs.
Jackson Davis - 2025 - PG - Illinois Central Elite
Davis is a skilled playmaking point guard. He proved to be incredibly tough to defend off the dribble as he is incredibly shifty with the ball changing directions so well. He showed off good court awareness and always knew where to go with the ball. A good finisher around the paint that scored on so many of his drives.
Braylon Gray - 2025 - G - Kessel Heat
A highly energetic two-way guard. He plays with great defensive intensity and was all over opposing ball handlers forcing many turnovers and disrupting offenses. Gray showed off great quickness with nice shifty moves to often be beating his man and getting to the basket to score often.
Lebron Gough - 2025 - G - George Hill All-Indy
A lanky guard with great handle and is very quick with the basketball to beat defenders with ease. Gough got into the paint on his drives often and scored well there in addition to showing off a nice jumper from three. On the defensive end he played good pressure defense with his quickness and good hands.
Anestis Hadjistamoulou - 2025 - G - IL HoopStars
A tough downhill guard that just could not be stopped from his scoring on his drives. Hadjistamoulou battled through defenders to get into the paint and finished very well through contact when he got there. In one half alone, he converted on three and-one driving plays.
Xzavion Mitchell - 2025 - F - Team Herro
Mitchell is a wing forward with very good skills to go along with his size at 6’5”. He can do a bit of everything on the floor as he moves very well for his size, is a great passer, handles the ball well, scored really well around the basket plus mid-range, high IQ, and more.
Andrew Rader - 2025 - C - Team Herro
Rader greatly effected games with his defensive and rebounding ability. With his 6’7” height and going hard after all rebounds, Rader was dominant on the glass on both ends of the floor. He did a great job shutting down opposing big men in the paint as well to stopping any drivers and contesting all shots around the basket.
Jaymen Townsend - 2025 - F - George Hill All-Indy
Townsend is an athletic 6’4” wing forward. He was one of the better rebounders at the 14U level as he hit the glass hard and really got up for boards. Townsend was at his best off the dribble attacking to finish strong inside as well as from the mid-range.
Isaiah Wilson - 2025 - PG - C2K Elite
Wilson is a skilled point guard that impressed throughout the tournament. With his tight handle in addition to his quickness, he has a great ability to beat defenders of the dribble and get plenty of paint touches. Wilson was able to score often inside on his drives finishing at a high rate, but also showed smart play kicking it out when needed.
