It was simply a stellar day of hoops in Waukegan for the GNBA Championships. For the spring finale with the titles on the line, everyone was bringing their A games. Here are some of today’s standouts with plenty of more coverage coming soon.
Charlie Dunham – 2026 – G – MTXE Premier
The guard had multiple big games in helping MTXE capture the 14U gold title. To start out the day he had an impressive 18-point game and followed that up leading his team back from a 20-point deficit in the gold title game. Dunham is a tremendous shot maker that does it so well off the dribble to put up his points.
Miller Haedt – 2027 – PG – Martin Brothers
While I’ve seen Haedt have plenty of great games this spring, he saved his best for the biggest moment scoring 21 points in the platinum title game. He has great point guard skills but was also just not missing from the outside all day including hitting four in the title game.
Josh Kori – 2026 – SG – Yung Bullz
Kori was one of multiple standouts from this talented Yung Bullz team that captured the 14U platinum title. While they have plenty of standouts, Kori was consistently playing at a high level. While he did so much throughout the day and the entire tournament, his biggest was a game ending dunk in the championship game.
Triston Lowery – 2029 – F – Louisville Legends
Not only did he drill a game winning three pointer to start off the day, but later scored 24 points in the 11U gold championship game. Much more than just a scorer however, Lowery can do a bit of everything with his size and skill. There are few players that did as much for their team today as Lowery did.
Roosevelt Thomas – 2028 – F – Chi-Town Bulldogs
Thomas was unstoppable throughout the entire day. In the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship of the platinum division he put up big numbers. He is an incredibly powerful forward that was scoring through a crowd inside all day. The Bulldogs also got great play from Angelo Adams, Deion Wallace, and Brady Pettigrew to capture the 12U crown.
